The 1979 batch of IT BHU has decided to equip the IT BHU Girls Hostel with 5 new personal computers. The effort is being spearheaded by Pramod Joshi (New Delhi), Pradip Jain (BHU) and Sunil Maheshwari (Jodhpur), with extremely enthusiastic participation by 1979 batch members living in the US, UK and Qatar.

According to Prof. P. Ramachandra Rao, Vice-Chancellor, BHU, this will alleviate the trouble that many female students have in accessing the internet by having to go outside the BHU campus.

If donations exceed the cost of 5 PCs, the plan is to equip another IT BHU hostel similarly. Other batches are exhorted to top this effort.
