MentorNet

Hi Guys,
MentorNet is a network of professionals with huge experience in industry and academia. They are willing to e-mentor students and young professionals. The amount of participation is totally up to you. It's free and a good way to expand your horizons. Use their experience to your benefit. If you are a senior professional, you can also become a mentor. There are 185 mentors in Electrical & Electronics Engineering ready to e-mentor a protege like you and not enough available proteges to match them with. If you have friends or colleagues who might be interested in finding a mentor, please let them know about this program. Due to the high number of volunteer mentors, they are particularly looking for proteges in:

Computer Science
Chemical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Engineering Management
Computer Engineering
Manufacturing Engineering

MentorNet
c/o College of Engineering
San Jose State University
One Washington Square
San Jose, CA 95192-0080

Website: www.MentorNet.net
Tel: (408) 924-4065
Tax: (408) 924-4069
Email: program@mentornet.net

I am also a member of this network and I have already found a mentor. My mentor is working in Texas Instruments (Texas, US) for last 10 years and she has a PhD in EE from Penn State University. You can also find such well-qualified mentors if you explore this network. Although this website was originally started for women in engineering and science, now it is open to all. Make the best use of networking, it definitely helps in one's career.

DGPA to % Conversion Formula

Upto batch 2003 (I am not sure from 2004 onwards), conversion formula is

X = 17 + 6.875(Y) + [(Y - 6 ) power 3] / 15

Where X is percentage and Y is your DGPA.
