Distinguished Alumni

We are in process of building a list of pan IT-BHU alumni who, in our most humble opinion, are in a position of influence/motivation/encouragement. There is no intention of creating any kind of distinction between alumni of IT-BHU rather this is a humble attempt of driving motivation and encourgement by bringing to a little bit of focus the achievements of those who obatined at least a part of their education in IT-BHU. We believe this would surely be a source of encouragement for young IT'ians.

I would also like to know if there is a requirement of an Energy Specialist in the World Bank from Rajesh Sinha Mech 93 or Energy Specialist in the ADB from Indu Bhushan EE81. I would be very interested.

Professor Satish K. Tripathi, B.Sc. Banaras Hindu University, 1968

Professor Satish K. Tripathi received his Ph.D in Computer Science from the University of Toronto. Dr. Tripathi joined the Computer Science faculty at the University of Maryland in 1978. He served as the Department chair during 1988-1995. In March 1997, Dr. Tripathi joined the University of California at Riverside as the Dean of Engineering and the William R. Johnson, Jr. Family Professor of Engineering. He is also a professor of Computer Science. He is a Fellow of IEEE and AAAS.

Prior to joining Impulsesoft, Srikrishna served as Group Marketing Manager at Synopsys where he helped launch and grow a new product to a $50M revenue in its first year. Earlier at Silicon Automation Systems, India, he served as Senior Marketing Manager for EDA and embedded systems focusing on the Japanese and Israeli markets. For eight years, Srikrishna worked at National
Semiconductor, Santa Clara, in a number of roles including Strategic Marketing Development focussed on multi-function peripherals, Process
Development and Integration. Srikrishna holds one US Patent and has a PhD and MS from University of California at Berkeley and a BS from Institute of
Technology, Banaras Hindu University.
