The Department of Computer Engineering offers a four-year Bachelor of Technology program in Computer Science and Engineering that admits approximately thirty-two students every year through the IIT Joint Entrance Examination.

The department has six faculty members. With extensive international experience, they specialize in the fields of Databases, Artificial Intelligence, Visual Computing, Parallel and Distributed Computing, Software Engineering, Computer Applications in Medical Instrumentation and Biomedical Engineering.

Over the years, CSE graduates have found their way into almost all leading computer companies and research institutions in the United States and India. They are in management, entrepreneurial, research and technological positions. Every year, almost a third to a half of the graduates go for graduate studies or positions in high-tech companies in the United States.
