(Rochester, New York) Ameritherm Inc., a leader in radio frequency induction heating equipment, has promoted Dr. Girish S. Dahake to Director, Global Applications. In this role he is responsible for all Application development services in Ameritherm facilities in the Americas, Europe and Japan.

Dr. Dahake has specialized in the application of induction heating technology since 1995 and was instrumental in solving thousands of sophisticated heating problems by applying a wide range of RF induction products. His expertise includes the research, design and prototype of complex heating coils and solutions. He also holds a US patent for induction heating. Most recently he was the Application Lab Manager at Ameritherm.

Girish has his Doctorate (PhD) in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, and his Masters of Science, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY. His Bachelor of Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy is from the Institute of Technology, India.

S.K Sharma new chief of Atomic Energy Regulatory Board

S.K Sharma was appointed the new chairman of the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) on January 18th. 2005. He succeeds S.P Sukhatme, who relinquished office Jan 14 on the expiry of his term as chairman.

A graduate in chemical engineering from the Banaras Hindu University, Sharma has served the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in different capacities since 1963.
